How To Apply NELFUND

Follow the guidelines below to complete your NELFUND registration.

  1. Visit the NELFUND Official website https://nelf.gov.ngNELFund
  2. Click on the apply now button and begin the registration
  3. Click the button to verify and confirm your nationality “Yes, I am a Nigerian”
  4. Verify Educational Information: Chose your institution and verify by putting your matriculation number (for existing students)
  5. Click on verify with JAMB by inputting your JAMB registration number and date of birth.
  6. Create an account with your email and password, confirm your password and click on create account.
  7. A verification link will be sent to your email address from NELFUND, click on verify this mail.
  8. Go back to the NELFUND login page and log in using your email and password
  9. Update your contact details by providing your infos; Phone Number, Residential Address, State and residential local government address.
  10. Click on Educational Details and also provide your necessary educational information, Higher Institution name and matriculation number.
  11. Click on account details, give your bank account details; Bank Verification Number (BVN), select the bank you use and lastly input your account number correctly and save.
  12. Click on the request for student loan button on at the top right corner.
  13. Select the kind of loan you’re requesting for; either School Fees only or Upkeep or both depends on what you want then click on continue.
  14. You’re to upload your school admission letter for verification and maybe your student ID card in some instance.
  15. Click the agree to the term and conditions of the service.
  16. Lastly, keep checking your application to see if your application is successful.

NELFUND Requirements

The following requirements must be met before you can;

Apply NELFUND.

  • You must be a student of a higher institution in Nigeria and possess an admission letter.
  • You must have a valid document required (Admission Letter, Student ID)
  • You should make sure the name on your JAMB tallies with the Name on your NIN. (Note- The name arrangement on your NIN and JAMB must be same to avoid issues)
  • Your Bank details also tally with your NIN details.
