fatal attack at primary school in Vrutky: A school worker has been killed and children wounded in an apparent knife attack in Vrutky in northern Slovakia.
Police said they had killed the assailant and the situation was under manage.
Slovak information said the 22-year-old man was a former pupil at the school.
Between those taken to hospital with stab wounds were two children, reports said. also the school is said to add a kindergarten, primary school and senior school.
Slovak media said the attacker had beleaguered the head teacher and deputy head, killing the deputy.
The man then fled the school and was later wedged by police a short distance away. A spectator described hearing gunshots. The suspect was killed and two police officers were among the injured.

Two people died in a June 11 attack at a primary school in Vrútky, near Martin (Žilina Region).
A 22-year-old man from Martin killed an individual and hurt another four people, counting two children. They were sent for treatment to Martin hospital, the police informed on Facebook.
